Who can use Grademy

• You must be at least 13 years old. We run an age check at sign-up and accounts identified as under 13 are blocked from the product.
• If you are 13 to 15, you must give a parent or guardian email address during sign-up. AI lessons stay locked until that guardian confirms your use of Grademy from their own account.
• If you are 16 or 17 you can use Grademy independently, but if you are under 18 you should have a parent, guardian, or school aware that you are using it.
• If you are under the age required to enter a contract where you live, a parent, guardian, or school must accept these terms on your behalf and is responsible for any fees.
• Giving a false date of birth, or bypassing the age gate, is a breach of these terms and we may close the account.
• One person, one account. Do not share your login. Schools and tutors should use the classroom or workspace features rather than passing credentials around.

Using the service

• Grademy provides AI-supported tutoring, planning, feedback, revision tools, and related educational features.
• You must use the platform lawfully, keep your login details secure, and avoid activity that harms the service or other users.
• We may update features, pricing, or the product experience to improve quality, reliability, safety, or commercial viability. Where a change is material and affects a paid plan, we will tell you before it takes effect.

Acceptable use

• Do not upload or generate content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual, violent, or intended to bully or intimidate another person.
• Do not attempt to jailbreak, prompt-inject, or otherwise push the tutor into producing unsafe content, and do not try to extract system prompts or other users' data.
• Do not scrape, resell, sublicense, or bulk-export Grademy content, questions, or model output, and do not use it to train a competing model.
• Do not upload other people's personal data, or copyrighted material you have no right to use, and do not impersonate a teacher, guardian, or another learner.
• Do not probe, load-test, rate-limit-evade, or interfere with our infrastructure, and do not use automated tools against the service without written permission.
• If you are worried about your own or someone else's safety, contact a trusted adult or call 999. Grademy has automated safety checks but it is not an emergency service or a counselling service.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaches this section. Where it is reasonable and safe to do so we will explain why and give you a chance to respond.

AI output: what it is, and what it is not

• Grademy's lessons, explanations, hints, marks, and feedback are generated by AI models. AI models can be confidently wrong, can invent facts and sources, and can misread a question or a photo of your handwriting.
• Everything the tutor tells you should be treated as a study aid to check, not as a verified fact. Verify anything that matters against your specification, textbook, or teacher.
• A mark or grade estimate from Grademy is teaching feedback. It is not an official assessment, it carries no weight with any exam board, school, or university, and it does not predict your real result.
• Do not rely on Grademy for final exam answers, coursework you will submit, or any decision with real consequences. It is not a substitute for a qualified teacher, tutor, or your exam board's own materials.
• Curriculum coverage varies by subject and exam board. Where content has not been verified for your course, treat it as general practice rather than exam-board-accurate.
• We do not promise uninterrupted availability, perfect accuracy, or any guaranteed academic result as a matter of contract.

Academic integrity

• Grademy is built to teach you, not to do your assessed work. The tutor asks for a genuine attempt first and works through hints and explanations rather than handing over answers.
• You are responsible for following your school, college, university, and exam board rules on acceptable help. Those rules override anything convenient the product might let you do.
• Submitting AI-generated work as your own is likely to be malpractice. It can invalidate a coursework grade or an entire qualification. Do not do it.
• If you are unsure whether using an AI tutor is allowed for a particular piece of work, ask your teacher before you use it, not after.
• We may restrict features or close an account where we reasonably believe Grademy is being used to cheat, to complete assessed work for someone else, or to produce material for sale.

Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

• The paid plan is available at £50 per student monthly or £500 per student yearly. The price and cadence shown at checkout are the terms that apply to your purchase.
• The 3-day trial is free. When it ends, the selected monthly or yearly plan begins automatically unless you cancel first.
• New eligible subscriptions include a 3-day free trial and convert into the selected paid plan unless you cancel before the trial ends. We will make the conversion date visible in your account.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period. You authorise us and our payment provider to charge the applicable fee to your saved payment method on each renewal.
• You can cancel at any time from billing settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Statutory cancellation rights: if you are a UK consumer you have 14 days from purchase to cancel for a refund. By starting a subscription you ask us to begin supplying the service immediately, and if you then cancel within the 14 days we may deduct a proportionate amount for the period you had access. This right does not apply once a subscription period has been fully used.
• Outside the 14-day period we do not give partial refunds for unused time in a period you have already started, unless the law requires it or the service was materially broken for you.
• If a payment fails we may retry it and may suspend paid features until it clears. We will not delete your learning data because of a failed payment.
• We may change prices for future periods. Existing subscribers will be told before a price change applies to their renewal and can cancel instead.

Top Grade Promise and refund reviews

• Where we offer a Top Grade Promise or similar refund campaign, it is a discretionary promotional policy on top of your statutory rights, and not an automatic entitlement.
• To ask us to review such a claim, we may require proof that you used Grademy continuously for at least 60 days immediately before the relevant assessment, maintained a genuine usage streak, followed the tutor strategy in good faith, and completed the relevant exam or assessment.
• We may also require your exam result, usage history, screenshots, account records, and written feedback explaining why the platform did not help you.
• For these purposes, a top grade generally means one of the top two recognised performance bands for the relevant system. Examples include GCSE 8 or 9, A-Level A or A*, IB 6 or 7, and university First or 2:1, plus local equivalents we reasonably determine.
• Promotional refunds, credits, and goodwill payments remain at our discretion. We can decline where the evidence is incomplete, the use was not continuous or genuine, the account breached these terms, or we reasonably believe the claim is abusive, fraudulent, or misleading.
• Nothing in this section removes your statutory rights as a consumer.

Your uploads and content

• You keep ownership of the materials, answers, notes, and documents you upload. You remain responsible for what you put in.
• You must only upload content you have the right to use for study or teaching purposes, and you should avoid uploading other people's personal information.
• You grant us a licence to process your content to deliver tutoring, planning, marking, support, safety checks, and product improvement, for as long as we hold it under the retention periods in our privacy policy.
• We do not sell your content, and we ask our AI providers not to use it to train their general models.
• You can delete individual uploads in the app, and deleting your account removes your content under the erasure workflow described in our privacy policy.

Availability, liability, and governing law

• We may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary for maintenance, safety, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or operational reasons.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, Grademy is provided on an as-available basis and we exclude implied warranties that the service will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for every educational setting.
• Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be excluded, including your non-excludable rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
• Otherwise, our total liability relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected service period.
• These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
• If we change these terms we will update the date at the top, and we will tell you in the product or by email where the change is material.
